Why battery enquiries need their own process
A battery-only homeowner has an existing system, an existing inverter and often existing expectations about savings or backup. Qualification should start with what is already on the roof and in the switchboard, not with a new panel layout.
- Existing system size, inverter type and age.
- Whether backup during outages matters to them.
- Usage pattern and recent bills.
- Switchboard condition and likely battery location.
What we provide
- Follow-up scripts and qualification written for battery-only and combined enquiries.
- Basic battery sizing and proposals in OpenSolar or Pylon within your product range.
- Appointments or sales subject to site inspection, with notes for your installer.
What we do not do
We do not give homeowners incentive or rebate advice. Programs and eligibility change, so your business confirms current eligibility with the relevant government source for each job.
Questions installers ask
Can you sell batteries to homes with an older inverter?
We can qualify and propose options within your rules. Compatibility and any inverter changes are confirmed by your team at site inspection.
How are battery jobs charged?
Installed-sales fees are $50 per kWh of nominal battery capacity, plus $50 per kWp of any solar panels installed, under the arrangements on our pricing page.
Do you advise customers on battery rebates?
No. We refer customers to your business, which confirms current eligibility.
